Designer Victor Sun’s 1920s home in Long Beach, CA was in need of a top-down renovation. But what happens when a professional interior designer who specializes in kitchen cabinetry decides to tackle his own space? In the words of Sun himself, “It’s really, really hard. You quickly realize that when you know all the options, making choices for yourself becomes challenging.”

A colorful mix of custom cabinetry, custom furniture pieces, luxurious finishes and accessories punctuate this Texas-style French Country kitchen. The design team incorporated unparalleled levels of storage and functionality throughout the space without compromising usability. Everything has its place here, with room to spare.

The Edison Heights Design Concept creates a beautiful, multipurpose kitchen within an existing brownstone or historic home all without sacrificing modern day amenities. The space reflects the wants and needs of affluent consumers who are renovating homes where small footprints and lack of space are primary concerns.

At first glance, the Provenzano Residence in Houston, Texas looks like it is home to a completely new kitchen. Modern and contemporary with stainless steel, aluminum trim and acres of glass, the heart of the home is polished and poised. However, lying underneath is a surprise that you would never expect.

The design team was first challenged with transforming the original layout which was problematic with an overflow of hallways and doorways. In the new design, they created three distinct work zones that optimized flow and ease of traffic. Design-wise, the kitchen set the theme for the rest of the house with the design team working to ensure consistency in the color palette throughout.

This new design, with waterfall granite countertops, sleek lines, and the finest of details from Brookhaven by Wood-Mode, is contemporary perfection. Not only is the kitchen functional, and spacious, it overlooks the Green Belt, one of Boise's most beloved parks. This 25-mile tree-lined pathway follows the river through the heart of the city and provides scenic views, wildlife habitat and pedestrian access to many of the city's popular riverside parks.
