Leading Manufacturer in Custom Cabinetry Offers CEU Course on Integrated Lighting in Cabinetry Design.

There has been increased focus placed on cabinetry-centric lighting solutions as homeowners dive into renovating their kitchens and baths. To further educate interior designers on designing with lighting in mind, Wood-Mode will offer a CEU course along with light refreshments at NeoCon 2017 on June 12th from 3-4pm in the Wood-Mode Lifestyle Design Center Suite 119. The course titled, “Lighting the Way: A Seamless Approach to Integrated Lighting in Cabinetry Design,” focuses on LED lighting technology in kitchen and bath design.

Interior designers and homeowners have more options than ever before to incorporate a broad range of integrated lighting applications into custom cabinetry and furniture pieces through the exclusive Wood-Mode integrated lighting program. This course is registered with AIA/CES for one Learning Unit (LU), 1.0 IDCEC Continuing Education Unit (CEU) and 0.1 NKBA credit. The IDCEC credit accounts for ASID, IIDA and NCIDQ.

NeoCon, hosted June 12-14, 2017 at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, IL, is one of the most recognized and attended trade shows in the industry. The show is focused on being at the forefront of changing design and business trends. Attended by more than 50,000 design professionals and 500 companies each year, thousands of new products are released every year to inspire innovation in different elements of design.

“The cabinetry industry is progressing dramatically with integrated lighting applications for consumers,” said John Troxell, director of design, Wood-Mode. “Heirloom stains, Nordic Spruce and Rough Sawn European Oak – these finishes are now illuminated with under-cabinet, interior cabinet and drawer lighting applications to showcase rich wood species.”

Through the exclusive Wood-Mode integrated lighting program featuring Häfele LED solutions, interior designers can rest easy knowing this is a holistic approach to seamless lighting design and installation on their next project. Energy efficiency also comes into play since LEDs are prominently known to have an extremely long service life, are durable, and use 90% less power than conventional light bulbs. Due to this low power consumption, LED lights generate little to no heat, yet are bright and produce a saturated light color.

“From this CEU course, interior designers will learn that cabinet lighting no longer has to be considered as a limited stock experience,” said Troxell. “Through the exclusive Wood-Mode integrated lighting program, designers can explore the seamless integration of lighting design in kitchen and bath cabinetry making it easier to offer efficient, LED lighting as part of a high-end, custom cabinet installation.”

Explore custom, luxury lighting solutions available to today’s modern designer and homeowner through the Wood-Mode CEU course. RSVP here to attend.
